The deadline to RSVP is 3:00pm on Monday, November 28, 2016. ONLY GRADUATES WHO HAVE REGISTERED ONLINE BY THE DEADLINE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DECEMBER COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES.
Caps and gowns will be available for sale from the UIC Bookstore and UIC Medical Bookstore beginning November 1, 2016. All graduates must wear proper regalia to participate in the ceremonies. Prices are listed below:
Name cards and tickets will be available beginning December 5 in the Cardinal Room in Student Center East. Graduates are strongly encouraged to pick these up in advance, but if you are unable to do so, they will be available at the ceremonies. A valid ID will be required for pick up.
Seating will be assigned by college and major. Graduates will not process in. You seating assignment will be printed on your name card. Please bring this with you to the ceremony. You are encouraged to come early to find your assigned seat.
Due to space limitations of the facilities and estimated attendance, undergraduates students will receive 5 tickets and graduate students will receive 8 tickets. If there are extra tickets available, graduates who have registered will be notified after November 28 and the tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Until that time, requests for extra tickets will be denied.
The Fall 2016 commencement ceremonies are for graduates from the Summer 2016 and Fall 2016 semesters. All Summer and Fall 2016 graduates should attend the Fall commencement ceremonies. The Spring ceremonies are for Spring 2017 graduates only.
All faculty planning to participate in commencement must have appropriate academic attire.
You can order your regalia using the online request form. The deadline to order in is Friday, October 28, 2016.

If you are planning to attend but have your own regalia, you do not need to RSVP. Plenty of seating will be available for faculty. Faculty should be backstage at least half an hour before the ceremonies and will be processed in and seated in the first rows of seating on the floor.
